Alarm Group

Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 26, 2026

Overview

Alarm Group is developed by Ian Guile. It is a local-only alarm app that lets you create and manage groups of alarms. This privacy policy describes how the app accesses, collects, uses, and shares user data.

Data Access, Collection, Use, and Sharing

Alarm Group does not access, collect, use, or share any personal or sensitive user data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services that receive your data. No personal or sensitive user data is shared with any parties.

Local Storage

Your alarm configurations are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is never transmitted off your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Data Security

Because Alarm Group does not collect or transmit any user data, there is no risk of data exposure through network transmission. Locally stored alarm data is protected by your device's built-in security measures, including device encryption and app sandboxing provided by the Android operating system.

Data Retention and Deletion

Alarm data is retained locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete your data at any time by clearing the app's data through your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. No data is retained elsewhere.

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions, used solely for core functionality:

No data is collected or transmitted through the use of these permissions.

Data Export and Sharing

You may choose to export a group of alarms as text. This is entirely user-initiated and the exported data is copied to your device's clipboard. The app does not automatically share any data with any parties.

Third-Party Services

Alarm Group does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. No user data is shared with third parties.

Changes to This Policy

Any updates to this privacy policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
